Lucie Bourgeois, M.Sc.
Founder and President
Lucie founded Umalia to build a bridge between the corporate world, where she honed her business acumen for over 20 years, and the non-profit sector.
Her mission is to help companies understand and tap the vast under-exploited potential of corporate responsibility initiatives, so they can contribute to creating a more just and sustainable world.
Lucie has held executive positions with large Canadian and international corporations such as IMS Health, Nortel Networks, Willis Canada and Bell Canada. She has explored every facet of human resource management, change management and strategic planning, and was closely involved in the development of CSR for her former employers.
Today, Lucie has a unique talent for fostering a commitment to CSR among decision-makers and a variety of stakeholders in the business world.
Lucie has worked for many years as a professional volunteer for numerous organizations in the non-profit sector. She has collaborated on volunteer projects in North and South America, as well as in Africa, and she serves on the Board of Directors of several NGOs and non-profits in Canada and abroad.
